Meet Chris and Wen

Both reached time freedom via the stock market.

People said,
"You suggested some trading psychology books, but they're boring and difficult to follow/implement.  Why don't you build a course that covers what you believe to be necessary to address the psychology issues that most people face in trading?"

and that's how the course got started.

Chris Hanson

While working in sales at IBM, Chris Hanson spent nights and weekends studying the stock market.  He was constantly told “ya can’t beat the market, you should invest in real estate.”  The studying eventually paid off;
in 2002, the dream that many people have was achieved…
he walked away from the j-o-b at age 40.

Wen Kao

At age 12, I immigrated to the US from Taiwan.  My parents sacrificed a great life to move their family to the US so their kids could have a better life and pursue the American dream.

As a kid, I took the traditional immigrant path of studying hard, get good grades, go to a good school, and find a good paying job; that’s all I knew. I earned a bachelors & masters in chemical engineering from Cornell. I then worked for NPX Semiconductors as a process engineer, then as a technical sales engineer. I moved to Samsung as a tech sales engineering manager.

Somewhere in my initial career path, deep down I knew that I was highly “unemployable”!  I could NOT see working 9-5 for 40 years in a JOB. I ventured, part-time, into real estate  investing in early 2000. I learned two key lessons:  1) the importance of having a great mentor (that guy did well in r/e investing because he had a great mentor who’s also very successful in r/e) and  (2) although I did well in r/e, I now had 2 jobs - not what I wanted!

I transitioned to a financial services business, part time; I walked from Samsung in 2009 to build my financial services business full time. I had to work on both building a business and building my entrepreneurial mindset & skillset (which I never learned in school, nor in corporate America).

I was mentored in the company by a woman who was earning a multi seven-figure income. She told me that I had four strikes against me in the business world – (1) trained as an engineer (2) went to a top tier university (3) had a advanced graduate degree in engineering and (4) was a highly paid employee.

I was stunned to hear that the traits that served me well as an employee, were, for the most part, obstacles to succeeding as a business owner. I had to work my tail off for about a decade to unlearn the mindset of an employee, and to learn the mindset & skills of an entrepreneur.

Even though I was a fully licensed investment advisor and branch manager in the financial industry, it’s ironic, and sadly comical that I knew NOTHING about the stock market.

That all changed when I met Chris Hanson at a cashflow game; I took Chris’s Profits on Wall Street stock market class in 2011. I didn’t know at the time but my life was forever changed from that point. The market was love at first sight;  I knew the stock market was IT for me.

I worked my ass off learning the stock market from Hanson and Chris Lam (who co-teaches w/ Hanson).  Hanson taught me the foundational concepts contained in the stock class, while Lam coached me on art of charting analysis.

I achieved time freedom in 2017.

I firmly believe that anyone, if they (1) commit to working hard; (2) are coachable; and (3) have a long term, no-quit attitude, they too can achieve time freedom via the stock market.

The reason is that it's simply a skillset that can be learned. It was a skillset that was taught to the person who taught me, and he's able to teach/explain it to others
, which means it can be learned.

It’s simple, but not easy. If  you are willing to commit, it’s a journey that you don’t want to miss!

God Bless and I hope you will embark on the journey to time freedom, and go after your wildest dreams!
